The most fun forest bingo of the summer is waiting for kids at Someron Koirametsä

This summer, Someron Koirametsä offers a whole new kind of activity for families with children: forest bingo! Our dog forest is a great place for outdoor fun with kids, as the fenced area keeps not only the dogs but also the little ones safe within the boundaries. We’ve created forest bingo especially with dog-owning families in mind. It’s a playful summer activity that brings joy especially to children but adults are more than welcome to join in the fun too.

Forest bingo leads to a joyful adventure in the dog forest

Forest bingo is a fun and easy way to encourage kids to explore nature together with their dog. This summer, you’ll find bingo sheets and whiteboard markers attached with a string at the entrance of Someron Koirametsä. The aim of the game is to find the items shown on the bingo sheet while walking through the forest and mark them as you go.

Each sheet features 25 different images, arranged in a different order on every sheet. If you’re lucky enough to find five images in a row – horizontally or vertically – you can shout: “Bingo!” Most of the images on the sheets have just one correct match in the forest, but some have multiple, and a few may even be open to interpretation. You can search for bingo items on your own with your dog, or if you’re playing with others, feel free to agree on your own rules.

After the game, the bingo sheets should be wiped clean with a dry paper towel and returned along with the markers to the entrance. Forest bingo is included in the dog forest reservation price, no extra cost.

How long does it take to play forest bingo?

It usually takes around 30 minutes to complete one bingo row (5 images), depending on how easily the items can be found and how they are placed on your sheet. The dog forest is a safe place for kids to explore

Someron Koirametsä is a fully fenced 2.5-hectare forest that is always reserved for private use. It’s a perfect destination for a family outing: easy to access, and both dogs and children stay safely within the fence.

Please note that while the forest is regularly maintained and cleaned, it’s still an area where dogs roam freely. We recommend handwashing before eating and supervising small children, especially if they are exploring the forest floor closely.
